Our Theatre Supper Evenings will be February the 13th and 14th 2026. We will be presenting two one act plays around a hot, served, two course meal. Live theatre, good company and delicious food – what’s not to love? Tickets will be on sale in January 26.
Our two plays are An Appointment with the Dressmaker and Say Something Happened
Say Something Happened by Alan Bennett is about and elderly couple and a young, inexperienced social Worker. Eager but green June is despatched by the Council to register elderly people in the area. Mam and Dad are elderly and therefore must be in need of registering – but the able-bodied, street-wise couple have no intention of being registered. Increasingly desperate, June resorts to Mr Farquharson’s notes on Conduct of Interviews while no-nonsense Mam sorts her out!
An Appointment with the Dressmaker by Jude Craig is a comedy set in a dressmaker’s studio. Bride, Mummy and Granny visit the dressmaker to discuss the bride’s dress. Rather more gets aired than bridal gown details……..
