Stepping Out is a lovely, award winning comedy by Richard Harris. It introduces us to the ever patient dance teacher Mavis and her eclectic bunch of eight pupils made up of seven ladies and one man. Over a period of several months the play follows the group’s progress along with Mavis and the redoubtable Mrs Fraser on the piano in not only the world of tap dancing classes but in the stories that unfold about each of the very different characters.
Don’t miss this genuinely funny, yet touching and uplifting play. You cannot fail to be inspired by Mavis and her pupils’ spirit and achievements.
